How much does residential heat pump cleaning cost?
It’s $120 for the first unit and $80 for each additional unit at the same site: one unit NZD 120 + GST, two units NZD 200 + GST, three units NZD 280 + GST. For more than three, tell us how many and we’ll confirm the total. All prices exclude GST.
Can a dirty heat pump increase my power bill?
It can. When the filters, coil and fan clog up with dust, less air gets through — so the unit has to work harder and run longer to reach the same temperature, and that extra running time shows up on your power bill. A professional clean removes the build-up so your heat pump can run the way it was designed to.
What happens during a clean?
A professional heat pump clean covers the parts of your unit where dust and mould build up — like the filters, coil and fan barrel — so it can do its job properly again. Every home and unit is a little different, so Mark checks your heat pump and takes care of what it actually needs.

How long does a clean take?
Allow around 60 minutes for one unit, 1 hour 45 minutes for two units, and 2 hours 30 minutes for three units at the same site. For larger jobs we’ll confirm the timing with you when we confirm the total.

What if I’m not happy with the clean?
Tell Mark. If you’re not happy with any part of your clean, he’ll come back and put it right — that’s the make-it-right guarantee.
Do you clean commercial heat pumps?
Yes — we clean heat pumps for offices, retail spaces and hospitality venues. Commercial work is quoted based on the number of units and the building’s requirements, so get in touch for a quote.
